TACOR, Inc. --- Precision Aircraft Welding

TACOR is an industry leader in the weld repair of aircraft components. Our main product base is the refurbishment of damaged bleed system ducting, de-ice ducting, pneumatic ducts and tubes, exhaust pipes and thrust reverser components. However, our services range from much smaller, less intricate pieces to much more complicated, complete assemblies. We have developed several FAA approved Repair Process Specifications that allow us to use our Limited Airframe, Limited Engine, Limited Accessory and Limited Specialized Service Ratings to repair items that have been previously non-repairable. The following is a brief overview of TACOR's capabilities.

Welding

 Our welders are certified to AMS-STD-1595A and perform services that comply with AWS D17.1, AMS-STD-2219A, and AMS-W-6858. TACOR has the ability to weld a wide variety of materials including, but not limited to:

Titanium, Inconel, Aluminum, Magnesium, Stainless Steel, Hastelloy and many other exotic metals.

NDT

Liquid dye penetrant inspections assure the quality of our welds and are performed by multiple NDT level II inspectors in our onsite lab. All inspections are performed to ASTM-E-1417-05.

In addition to fusion (Tig or GTAW) and resistance (spot) welding, TACOR offers a variety of other specialized services

• Clean, Test and Inspect Programs
  • TACOR utilizes its Limited Accessory rating to perform cleaning
  • Testing and inspections on a variety of fuel nozzles, filters and restrictors
  • System air filters are also processed in this category.
• Sheet Metal
  • We perform multiple repairs using our expertise in sheet metal forming and fabrication.
• Sand/Bead Blasting
  • TACOR removes coatings and cleans many parts using one of several blasting methods.
• Tooling and Fixtures
  • We often construct fixtures or tools used in our specialized repair procedures
  • Additionally, we contract these services to outside customers with build to print instructions or criteria that we are asked to develop.
• Machine Shop
  • Highly experienced machinists use a myriad of equipment to provide high quality craftsmanship on difficult jobs.
• Painting
  • No job is too big for our 12' x 24' custom paint booth.
